Cosmos gets bigger and smarter: asset boost and AI features on the horizon

Summary:

  • Cosmos becomes the largest curated, smart, 3D asset library, with more than 30,000 new assets via our partnership with Evermotion and Globe Plants
  • New assets cover furniture, vegetation, and accessories optimized for both photoreal and real-time workflows.
  • Animated assets, beginning with animated people, are planned for release soon through Anima and partner collaborations.
  • Cosmos is now the universal asset delivery platform for all Chaos products, including Enscape (starting with version 4.10+).
  • The launch of AI Material Generator turns any real-world surface photo into seamless PBR materials—no manual editing required.

Cosmos grows 400% fueling visual storytelling

We’ve partnered with two of the most respected names in 3D content, Evermotion and Globe Plants, to bring an expanse of new assets into Cosmos. This collaboration will grow the library by over 30,000 high-poly and 14,000 low-poly assets, making Cosmos the largest curated render-ready 3D asset library of its kind.

"We’re expanding the library in several directions: home & garden, public spaces, urban environments, and high-detail household items. We’re also developing more scanned assets - especially vegetation - and refining realism across the board. These updates will roll out gradually and are aimed at users who expect top-tier, ready-to-use content."

New assets will be released in batches over time, continuing to build a large and diverse library that reflects global design trends and regional authenticity. And yes, animated assets are also on the horizon, starting with animated people coming soon through Anima and partner collaborations.

Whether you’re designing lush exteriors, stylized interiors, or rugged urban environments, these new assets are built to deliver. From furniture and accessories to vegetation and people, all Cosmos models are carefully curated and optimized for both offline photoreal rendering and real-time performance, ensuring a consistent experience across V-Ray, Corona, Envision, Vantage, and soon, Enscape.

Cosmos comes to Enscape

At the end of August, Chaos Cosmos will be integrated into Enscape, expanding the number of Chaos products that deliver assets through the Cosmos platform. Cosmos will serve as the universal asset delivery system across all major Chaos tools, giving Enscape users a more streamlined and organized way to access thousands of assets optimized for real-time performance.

To access Cosmos and the new assets, Enscape users will need to upgrade to version 4.10 (when released) or later. Current Enscape assets will be accessible through Cosmos, with new assets added over time. The growing low-poly library will continue to expand, offering an increasingly diverse range of vegetation, furniture, people, and more.

"When selecting models for Cosmos, our priority was to ensure global representation, each plant chosen for its relevance to a specific climate zone, design aesthetic, or garden style. From Arctic flora to Chinese bamboo, from Southeast Asian aquatic plants to single-needle pines in the highlands of Mexico, we approached the curation of Cosmos assets with an eye for both breadth and specificity. This geographic and botanical variety ensures that designers across the world can find plants that resonate with their local context or creative vision."

Meet the AI Material Generator

Also coming to Cosmos is the beta release of the AI Material Generator, a powerful new tool that transforms any real-world surface photo into a seamless, render-ready PBR material. There is no manual editing or complicated workflows involved, just fast, photoreal results that work inside your favorite Chaos tools.

The AI Material Generator launches with V-Ray 7 for Max Update 2 on Aug 5, and will soon become available in other V-Ray integrations, Corona, Vantage, and Envision. It will be available in Enscape at some point in early 2026. It’s built to dramatically reduce the time and effort of material creation, so you can easily transfer real-world materials in your designs and visualizations.
