AI Enhancer advanced controls solve this. You can now:

Can I use AI Enhancer with file formats other than .exr?
No, it needs to be exported with .exr and associated data. For Enscape, there is a button that does
it automatically; for the other renderers, it is a special option when uploading.
Does AI Enhancer increase rendering time or cloud processing time?
Not on its own. Every single vegetation enhancement can take 10-30s. For people, it is 15-30s. For faces it is 15-20s of rendering time.
Is there a way to undo changes or view a before-and-after comparison of my render?
Absolutely. We have a “layering approach” where users can delete layers and create new ones. Every newly created enhancement is unique.
What types of objects or details can AI Enhancer advanced controls currently improve, and are there limits?
The enhancements you can make, from people and faces to vegetation, are unlimited. However, the options for people and faces are somewhat limited. We are likely to expand them in the future with more ethnicities, hair colours, etc.

Yes, AI Enhancer helps save time most of all when users lack specific assets or something looks too “computer-generated,” and their clients want more “realistic-looking” assets to visualize their scene better.

Does AI Enhancer replace the need for manual post-production?
Partially. AI Еnhancer actually does an upscale pass, to make sure that the image is 4K resolution. If it is already 4K, it does not upscale it. The upscaling itself adds sharpness, clarity, and detail where needed. So the overall image quality is improved. Users are now less likely to need to do post-processing. We already have user feedback that the advanced controls are going to tackle asset replacement in post-processing. That said, currently, the AI enhancer is not the end-all solution, but we are on our way there.
