What’s new in Anima 6.2?

Chaos Anima 6.2 brings fully crewed vehicles, realistic braking and blinking lights, context-aware crowds that move naturally along 4D paths or by tag, plus enhanced motion, behavior, and workflow and usability improvements. This update just upped the game once again for lifelike traffic and crowd movement in archviz! No more empty streets, no more empty cars.

This latest version of Anima brings your environments to life instantly with dynamic traffic and smart crowds, and reduces the stiff or empty look sometimes seen in traditional architectural animations.

Anima 6.2 also allows you to control traffic and crowds faster than any other tool. It cuts back on manual effort and back-and-forth adjustments, without compromising on detail.

Tag-based crowds & 4D paths

You can now generate contextually-aware crowds with new tag options or by drawing 4D paths. Advanced filters ensure smoother and more natural motion, and the density of characters in your scene can be quickly adjusted via the numpad (+/-).

New characters & vehicle models

Enjoy even more choice with over 120 new models, including versatile 4D characters and popular urban vehicles. Anima automatically creates variations of your preferred models to keep your visuals authentic and ensures you always have plenty of options at your fingertips.

Performance improvements for 3ds Max

Streamline your 3ds Max workflow with faster scene loading and generation, reduced memory consumption, and faster material generation. You can also now enjoy a more seamless 3ds Max and V-Ray integration for more efficient pipelines.

Seamless deployments

Anima now integrates cleanly with 3ds Max’s centralized script pipeline. This release aligns scripts with the 2025+ pipeline and supports no-GUI, automated installs. Setup is faster and consistent across seats, with smoother imports and less IT overhead, so artists can spend more time creating.
