Chaos Connect Days brought together industry leaders, content creators, community ambassadors, and creative professionals from around the world for three days of inspiration, learning, and community building. Here's a recap of the event.
Laying the groundwork for meaningful connections
Hosted at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia, the event kicked off with a welcome cocktail on the evening of Wednesday, October 22nd at the hotel’s Ozone Bar. With amazing views of Sofia, the space provided a relaxed and informal setting for attendees to meet one another, laying the groundwork for the meaningful connections that would be formed over the next couple of days.
A look into Chaos' evolving ecosystem
The first official Connect Day featured a keynote address, product seminars, breakout sessions, and content creation sessions. Chaos’ CMO, Melanie Riebel, delivered a welcome address emphasizing the power of connection between teams, tools, and the wider Chaos community.
Next, Vlado Koylazov shared his vision for how Chaos continues to push the boundaries of visualization technology in his presentation. It offered a look into the company’s evolving ecosystem and how integrating real-time rendering, AI, and creative collaboration tools is redefining what’s possible.
The attendees also gained insight into what’s to come with Chaos CPO Allan Poore’s presentation on the Product Vision and Roadmap. Then, Roderick Bates, Senior Director of Product Operations, led a product deep-dive on ArchDesign, focusing on Enscape, Envision, and Veras. Konstantin Gaytandzhiev, Director of Product Management, and Tom Grimes, Product Manager, showcased the latest in Corona, V-Ray, and Vantage with an equally engaging ArchViz deep dive.
"The ability to be able to connect with the developers, the product managers, and understand what is coming next and to see loads of exciting things coming our way is great. It's also a good opportunity to connect with our friends and keep engaging with the community." - Felipe Broering, Creative Director at BINYAN
Content and community collaboration
In the afternoon, attendees joined collaborative breakout sessions, where they engaged directly with product managers and the Chaos teams that work closely with the products. These sessions provided a platform for exchanging ideas, sharing user feedback, and contributing to ongoing development.
The afternoon ended with a content creation session that encouraged attendees to collaborate on posts featuring other attendees or the Chaos team, capturing behind-the-scenes moments and interviews for their social media platforms.
Day one of Connect Days concluded at a studio pop-up dinner, where guests were treated to a live dessert-making experience and surprised with a complimentary headshot photography session.
"My favorite part of Connect Days was, fittingly, the connections. Getting to meet and share ideas with other content creators, ambassadors, and the Chaos team was inspiring." - Hugo Gonzales, Interior Designer
Creativity and technology in design visualization
The second day continued the enthusiasm for innovation, creativity, and collaboration that was prevalent on the first day. Chaos’ CEO Iveta Cabajova began the morning with a keynote discussing the evolving role of creativity and technology in design visualization, emphasizing how collaboration, experimentation, and emerging technologies influence how architects and artists tell their stories.
Next came the AI in AEC: Trends & Insights Panel Discussion, where attendees Kate Vera, Interior Designer & Educator, Mengyi Fan, Director of Visualization at SHoP Architects, Ludo Michaud, VFX Director at MediaLab, Nadia Monte, 3D Artist at BINYAN, and Nikos Nikolopoulos, Founder & Creative Director at Creative Lightings discussed the rapidly growing influence of AI in design processes, visualization, and finding the balance between automation and human creativity.
After the panel discussion, the room buzzed with collaboration and creativity as another content creation session was held. Then, attendees had the opportunity for a unique interactive experience during lunch: the People Scanner, where they could scan themselves and become a 3D asset for the Cosmos library.
"It's been so cool to meet the team behind the magic and hear about the product roadmap, especially the ideas for Cosmos, which I use all the time for my renders. I'm now part of the Cosmos Library myself, which is pretty insane." - James Traile, Video Producer & Animator
An exchange of knowledge and feedback
In the afternoon, the attendees were given the chance to explore Chaos tools at a Product Bazaar. Product experts were on hand to answer their questions and share valuable tips, fostering an exchange of knowledge and feedback.
Then, two roundtable sessions were held, encouraging participants to engage in meaningful dialogue about creativity and collaboration in an ever-evolving digital landscape. The Influencer Roundtable: New Content Formats & Partnerships was moderated by Marina Reza, Chaos’ Influencer Marketing & Community Manager, and the Ambassador Rountable: Build Your Dream Community was led by Ricardo Eloy, Chaos’ CGarchitect Program Manager.
As the day drew to a close, the Chaos team thanked participants and speakers for two dynamic days filled with inspiration, learning, and community building. The attendees then reconvened in the evening for the Connect Days Dinner that wrapped up the event in a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere—a fitting conclusion to the days of connection between people, ideas, and technology.
"An incredible event! I applaud the professionalism and the amount of information provided. I came with a list of questions, but I didn't have to ask them because they were addressed throughout the sessions. Having the opportunity to gather all the content creators and ambassadors to exchange ideas and experiences was extremely valuable." - Kate Vera, Interior Designer & Educator
