Summary:
In 2025, Chaos Cosmos users imported over 100 million assets into their projects. Using Chaos data, we found that the 3D people model, Natsumi Walking 001, was the most popular imported asset this year. Dogs lead for the animals category, and a kitchen sink for accessories. Vegetation was the most popular category overall, accounting for nearly a fifth of all assets added.
Chaos Cosmos is the largest curated 3D asset library, with thousands of assets added to renderings every day to bring them to life, guide decision-making, and gain buy-in from clients and stakeholders. Cosmos provides 3D content for architects, designers, and artists, regardless of which Chaos product you work with.
The Cosmos library contains every type of asset imaginable, from materials and HDRIs to 3D models of people, animals, vegetation, accessories, and vehicles. No matter where you or your clients are based, there are region-appropriate models to help connect your design to its intended site.
As 2025 draws to a close, the Chaos team wanted to see which assets were most popular over the last year, so we looked at the most frequently imported assets since January 1, 2025. Read on to see what we found broken down by category—maybe you’ll even spot a few familiar faces.
Top 10 most imported assets of 2025
Kicking things off, the overall most imported asset of 2025 is a 3D people model: Natsumi Walking 001. Aside from a potted plant in fifth place, the remainder of the top 10 is rounded out by an assortment of materials, including glass, walls, metal, ground, and grass.
Chaos Cosmos users imported over 100 million assets this year, and Despite being the top 10 most imported assets, they still only account for 2.6% of all Cosmos assets imported into projects in 2025. That alone shows just how broad the range of projects is Cosmos, and how varied their asset needs are.

Top 10 most imported by category
When it comes to asset popularity by category, there’s a clear winner: vegetation. Vegetation assets account for nearly 20% of all assets imported in 2025, suggesting that adding plants is seen as a key part of creating finished designs. Given the volume of vegetation assets used, it’s also likely that users are placing multiple plant assets in each rendering, not just a single tree or potted plant.
The next most imported categories are accessories (15%) and people assets (12.5%). Looking at the overall top 10, half of the spots are taken by 3D model categories, while the other half are filled by various materials, with metal, fabric, wood, glass, and walls all proving consistently popular.

Top 10 most imported people 3D models
Adding people assets instantly makes your scenes more visually engaging. People models not only add energy and clearly demonstrate how a space is meant to be used, but they also help clients intuitively gauge size and proportions by introducing a familiar human scale. With well-chosen people assets, new spaces feel lived-in and real rather than abstract or hypothetical.
Chaos is continually adding new people assets so users around the world can find models that resonate with their clients and regions. In the top 10 most imported people assets for 2025, there is a diverse mix of ethnicities, though most models are of a similar age, with one parent-child duo standing out. Interestingly, the top 10 is mainly comprised of men, and all but one of the figures are depicted standing or walking.

Top 10 most imported furniture 3D models
While an unfurnished rendering might tick all the technical boxes for stakeholders, adding furniture assets brings a level of familiarity that lets clients truly imagine themselves or others inhabiting the space. Not only does it make the design feel real and relatable, but it also conveys a clear sense of scale—something an empty space struggles to achieve.
When it comes to the most imported furniture assets in 2025, we have everything—including the kitchen sink. Although toilets, shower fixtures, beds, and indoor and outdoor seating made up the top 10, it was a kitchen sink asset that claimed the top spot.

Top 10 most imported vegetation 3D models
When creating a realistic rendering, you can add people, cars, and animal models, but without a smattering of vegetation, something will look a little off. Vegetation assets soften hard architectural lines with their organic shapes and textures, making spaces feel welcoming. Placing region-specific vegetation anchors your design in the climate and location where the project will live, so it doesn’t come across as generic. Swapping vegetation across different renderings is also a great way to signal seasonality—showing how the design looks in bright summer sun versus lower winter light.
Looking at the top 10, we have a selection of garden-variety indoor and outdoor vegetation models. The list includes three common types of potted plants perfect for interior scenes, two trees, a Swiss cheese plant, three types of field grass, and a yellow dandelion—after all, nothing adds realism like a few weeds.

Top 10 most imported vehicle 3D models
Placing vehicles into exterior scenes is a simple way to prevent them from feeling like sterile ghost towns, grounding the design in a believable context and suggesting life and activity. Vehicles can also demonstrate how your design functions in practice: traffic flow, EV charging points, drop-off zones, garages, and entryways all become more legible when you add vehicles to the scene. This is particularly useful when clients are concerned about practical matters, such as parking, public transportation routes, and traffic flow.
Vehicles can also be useful compositional tools, helping guide the eye through the scene and providing a sense of scale for building exteriors, street widths, driveways, and parking bays. As you can see from the top 10 most imported vehicle assets, cars are the go-to choice: sedans and SUVs largely make up the list, with just one two-door model racing in to complete the lineup. If you’re curious about where other types of vehicles fared, a bicycle came in 36th, and the first motorcycle (a Vespa) was in 48th place.
Top 10 most imported accessories
While people or car models might be great for scale and liveliness, nothing makes a rendering look more real and lived-in than accessory assets. These are the little touches that turn a house design into a home, making it easier for your clients to imagine themselves there—or imagine how they might sell that dream to potential buyers and investors.
In the top spot by a considerable margin is a flat-screen TV, followed by curtains. Although a small set of coffee-table decorations and a rug also make the top 10, half of the places go to stacks of books, an easy way to elevate interior scenes and make them a little cozier. As the list continues, there are more books, electronics, decorations, and appliances, but down in position 20 is an adorable stuffed puppy, demonstrating how even a tiny detail can add warmth and personality to a scene.
